Council member Mary Waters
Detroit City Councilwoman Mary Waters, who was running for Congress in the Democratic primary in August, has been bounced from the ballot, the Detroit News reports.
She was running against incumbent Congressman Shri Thanedar and challengers, state Rep. Donavan McKinney of Detroit and John Goci of Northville.
Waters said Tuesday she was told there was a problem with the number of voter signatures on her nominating petitions, The News reports. She said she was appealing.
